An explainer from CamsFinder
What CamsFinder is, and how it works
CamsFinder.com is a free directory of live cam performers, and it hosts no video of its own. It indexes rooms on twelve cam platforms, carries whether each performer is broadcasting at this moment, and links out to the platform when you click. This page explains where each of those pieces comes from and quotes the record keeping, copyright and regional restriction policies CamsFinder publishes. Coverage checked on 3 September 2026.
How the index works Trust and safety Platforms covered The official About page
The short version
CamsFinder is a directory and aggregation service. It does not host any content itself. When you find a model you like, clicking on them takes you directly to their page on the respective cam platform, where the stream, the chat and the account all live.
It is not a cam site
CamsFinder is a search and listing layer over the cam sites. Nothing is broadcast from it, and no room is operated by it. Its own FAQ calls it a search engine registry that lists, reviews and reports on the cam community.
Free, with no account
There is nothing to register for and no fee to browse. Selecting a performer hands you over to the platform they broadcast on, and each platform sets its own terms.
Paid for by affiliate links
CamsFinder takes part in affiliate programs with the platforms it features, so it may earn a commission on a signup. That does not change the price you pay.
How the aggregation works
Three moving parts, in the order a visitor meets them. The long version is on how it works.
The index
Performer records are collected from the platforms CamsFinder works with, then grouped and segmented so one search covers all of them instead of one site at a time.
Live status
Each record carries whether that performer is broadcasting right now, along with the room subject, viewer count and tags the platform publishes. That is what the live filters and the online toggle read.
Model pages
An indexed performer gets a page of their own on CamsFinder, gathering pictures, information and a link out to their room on the cam site.
The number is a snapshot taken when the page loaded, not a running total. It moves every few minutes as rooms open and close. Per platform figures are on the platforms page.
One performer, every platform
The easiest way to explain an aggregator is to show one running. The three units below read the same shared live feed the counter above uses, mount a room that is broadcasting at that moment, and hand the visitor to the platform when they click. Nothing they show is stored on this site, which is the whole point of the demonstration.
The unit on the left is a live embed. It asks the shared index for a room that is broadcasting right now, mounts the platform's own stream, and hands the visitor over to that platform when they click. The same embeds are available to CrakRevenue affiliates for their own pages: get in touch and sign up at crakrevenue.com.
That is the whole trick behind the directory: one index, one set of filters, and a link out to whichever site the performer broadcasts on. The two cards below are the same unit narrowed to a single platform each.
If a room ends mid view the unit falls back to a similar performer who is still live, rather than freezing on a dead frame.
Every one of these units links out to the cam site, never deeper into this page. Clicks are tracked as affiliate traffic, which is how the directory pays for itself.
Trust and safety
The four questions people ask before they trust an adult directory. The full wording, quoted from the published pages, is on trust and safety.
18 U.S.C. 2257 record keeping
The operator of this website is not the producer (whether primary or secondary as defined in 18 U.S.C. § 2257) of any depictions of actual or simulated sexually explicit conduct that may appear on this website.
The statement also says the operator has taken it upon itself to voluntarily comply with 18 U.S.C. § 2257 and 28 C.F.R. § 75, and names a Custodian of Records.
Read the 2257 statementCopyright and DMCA
CamsFinder responds to claims of copyright infringement reported to its Designated Copyright Agent. A valid notice has to identify the work, point to the exact URL, carry a signature and contact details, and state a good faith belief that the use is not authorised.
Where a takedown has been actioned the page is replaced with a short notice rather than the listing.
DMCA notice procedureRegional restrictions
Some regions regulate access to adult material. Visitors from those regions see a banner reading "Content in this section is restricted in your region due to local regulations", and the restricted material stays blurred behind it rather than loading normally.
The restriction is applied by region, not by account, so there is nothing to opt into.
How the restriction behavesAdults only, and no content of ours
CamsFinder is intended for adults only. Its About page states that all models featured have verified their age with their respective platforms and are consenting adults.
Because the directory hosts nothing, a room removed by its platform simply stops resolving there.
